Changed tax rules for fuel to ships and boats The Government propose that the tax deduction för fuel to flying objects, ships and boats shall be reduced. The proposition clearify that the tax deduction only apply for flying objects, ships and boats that transport passangers or good for a fee, services for a fee, or for use by or on commision from public authorities or for professional fishing. Also volutary defence organisations and other non-profit organisations carrying out or training for sea rescue or fire guard or similar activities. The proposition is an adaption to EU justice and will require a change in the law for taxation of energy. The deduction will be made as before. The change is proposed to be effective by 1 July 2015. |

Info from SRF activities on Visingsö during last week
During Thursday a seminar on IT-communication was held Today there are many freewares for efficient communication. Skype is a freeware that can be downloaded fron internet (www.skype.com). This program allows wideo connection between 2-10 participants. The connection is also free of charge. Skype can therefore be used for normal and group conversations. During connection discussion of documents can be desired. It is possible to create a Google account (www.google.com) and login to use different Google apps, e.g., Google Drive to save files in the so called The Cloud. This is also free of charge. One Google app is Google Document that allows users to create and share documents saved in Google Drive. All connected users can see and work in the document at the same time. By using Skype and Google Document at the same time it is possible to talk and work with the document together in real time. Energy and Environment Group During Saturday and Sunday the group held a work meeting. The group discussed the outcome of the workplan set up during the meeting at Zinkensdamm. We could conclude that mots of the items had been delt with and will be summarized in a report to present at the Representatives meeting in November. The Smilegove project was also discussed. Unfortunately, the project leader could not participate as planned, but some items were discussed over the phone. A study visit to Samsö in Denmark was planned and a presentation dockument of the participating Swedish islands, Holmön, Vinön, Visingsö and Hven, will be written. During Sunday we made a study visit to Energikullen in Katrineholm. Energikullen is a park presenting varoius systems for renewable electricity and energy production. There were diffenet solar cell systems, DC/AC-switches, sun collectors, sun followers, self supportive green houses, plus houses, different windmills for micro and mini producition of electricity. The Park is owned by the company Egen El AB that is a subsidary to the ETC-group. The Park produce about 250 000 - 300 000 kWh annually. Info från Telia An expansion of 4G net (to be used for surf/internet) over whole north part of Holmön is planned to the last quarter of 2014, i.e., between October-December. Also an expansion of te present 2G net (mainly used for oral/sms) is planned during the same time frame. When it comes to signal strength on Holmön it is recommended to use telephones with high signal strength, e.g., from the manufacturer CAT that can be purchased from regular retailers (for exemple Siba, Elgiganten). Bedsides the telephones there is a requirement that the phones are locked on 2G all over Holmön islands. This has to be done manually, since all phones today are factory set to connect to 3G, which causes problems on Holmön where there is no 3G net at all. To lock an iPhone to only 2G follow the instruction below: 1. Click on "Set" 2. Click on "Operator" 3. Uncheck "Auto" (So it is not marked green/blue) 4. In the list of operators that is loaded (can take up to some minutes) chose "Telia 2G" or "Telia GSM". If one has another brand of phone it is possible to free of charge call the maufacturer to get step-by-step instruction to lock the phone to 2G. Lack in water supply on Holmön Now it is lack in the water supply on Holmön. More water is concumed than can be filled up in the reservoar. The water will therefore ran out. Be careful with the consumption and the water will last longer time. If the pressure cannot be maintained, in first hand the supply to the local water associations will be closed to keep up the pressure in the community net.
